The Difference Between W.E.D.

weathering
This is an image of Weathering. Weathering occurs when the wearing away of the surface of rock, soil, and minerals into smaller pieces. An example of weathering is wind and water causing small pieces of rock to break off at he side of a mountain.

erosion
This is an image of Erosion. Erosion is the movement of particles away from their source. An example of erosion is that wind carries small pieces of rock away from the side of a mountain.Erosion is the process by which weathered particles are deposited into a new location.

deposition
This is an image of Deposition. Deposition is the geological process in which sediments, soil and rocks are added to a landform or land mass. Wind, ice, and water, as well as sediment flowing via gravity, transport previously eroded sediment, which, at the loss of enough kinetic energy in the fluid, is deposited, building up layers of sediment.
